McLaren revealed the 570GT, probably its most practical and refined sport ever made. The new British two-seater and rear-wheel drive model, which is a version of the 570S, will make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show and will be launched in July, announcing a more luxurious interior and larger trunk capacity. The engine is the same as the 570S, a 3.8-litre Biturbo V8 developing 570 hp, which comes coupled to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission.The new model shares the front and the scissor-opening doors with the 570S. In the meantime, it features a new roof and new, longer rear, with a top structure, a spoiler and a streamlined package. In addition, there is a glass back cover that allows you to store objects laterally. This compartment has 220 litres of capacity. In total, counting on the space behind the two seats, which can accommodate two suitcases, it is possible to pack up to 350 litres.The 570GT has 1,350 kg, announcing an acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.4 seconds (0.2 slower than the 570S) and a top speed of 328 km / h. The new GT model has a suspension-and-steering-specific, more comfort-oriented regulation. Pirelli P Zero tires, fitted with the Noise Cancelling System, were developed specifically for this model.After the 570GT, the 570S will still give rise to a convertible version for 2017.
2017 – McLaren 570GT COMMEMORATIVE EDITION
McLaren unveiled at the Shanghai Salon 2017 the new McLaren 570GT Commemorative Edition, an edition limited to three units that will target the Chinese market. This is a pleasure to brand enthusiasts in the Asian giant and also to commemorate the success achieved by the McLaren 570GT and other models of the British brand since they landed by those bands. As you can see in the picture, it will have a specific finish to differentiate it from the base model.The McLaren 570GT Commemorative Edition features a Blue Pacific exterior, combined with various black accents. The front splitter, rear bumper and side skirts show a carbon fibre finish. To this must be added forged alloy wheels and new exhaust outlets with a unique fit.On the other hand, in the passenger compartment, this limited edition has padding in Nappa Sand leather, while in the cargo part (220 litres) has a finish in the same shade. The steering wheel and seat belts were painted in Carbon Black to create a very interesting contrast.In terms of equipment, it should be noted that this limited edition of the McLaren 570GT will also feature new features. It is equipped, among other elements, with the new Bowers & Wilkins 12-speaker audio system and a rearview camera that will facilitate parking manoeuvres.At the stand of McLaren at the Shanghai Motor Show, 2017 was also presented the new McLaren 720S. It is the first time the brand’s new supercar has been shown in China. The first units of the 570GT Commemorative Edition will be delivered to their respective customers as of July.

Any McLaren customer can customize their car by consulting specialists at McLaren Special Operations (MSO), the UK’s special design department. However, it is also possible to change the appearance and characteristics of your vehicles by turning to other companies. One of them is Prior Design, which has been working on the McLaren 570S, the most sporting version of the Sports Series, which, after passing through the hands of the preparer, appears more aggressive.The Prior Design’s aerodynamic components package for the McLaren 570S is called PD1 and makes the 570S a car so flashy that it will be impossible not to turn your head to enjoy it when you drive down the street. The aerodynamic package consists of several new elements, while the set is completed with a height-adjustable H & R suspension, with a louder exhaust system and with alloy wheels designed and manufactured by Prior Design.The PDL kit for the McLaren 570S adds new air intakes to the ends of the front bumper, vents on the front fenders, more aggressive side skirts, different rear bumper, an air intake over the roof, a wider and more aggressive rear diffuser, plus a huge fixed airfoil adorning the rear. All of these elements seem to be inspired by the options offered by the MSO in models like the exclusive McLaren 675LT.The passenger compartment was also subject to change. The interior of Prior Design’s Mclaren 570S has been completely redesigned in Alcantara and leather, with a combination of black and orange elements with contrasting stitching, plus diamond-patterned padding at some points on the seats and no central armrests. What was not changed was motor, the already known block 3.8 V8 biturbo that was used by all models of Mclaren until the arrival of the new 720S, an engine that in this case produces 570 hp of power and 600 Nm of torque.
2017 – McLAREN 570S DESIGN EDITION VERMILLION RED
McLaren revealed five new versions of its 570S supercar. Named for Design Edition, each will feature a different combination of colors, wheels and car cover, equipment and interiors.The new versions are based on customization packages ‘By McLaren’ and do not imply any change in powertrains – the 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine continues to be coupled to the dual-clutch seven-speed transmission.The first of five new versions features a ‘Vermillion Red’ color with five-spoke alloy wheels. McLaren has just introduced the Spider version of the 675LT. The open version of the British sports car will go on sale from next semester.
